Plans for high-tech high school facing obstacle in Albany

The Times Union of Albany, N.Y., reports that time is running out for supporters of a proposed local high-tech high school, who hope to unveil the new school in the fall of 2006. The group plans on using money from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for the project, but it still needs approval from the state Legislature before the legislative session ends next week. The Legislature, however, has concerns about the proposal, and approval is hardly guaranteed.
