NCLB pressures reshaping nature of technology in schools

The Express-News of San Antonio reports that pressure on public schools to comply with high-stakes testing requirements has led them to spend more of their technology dollars on data systems, rather than classroom hardware. Critics of the No Child Left Behind law say that this is yet another indication that the millions of dollars being spent on testing are hurting schools in other areas, particularly when the federal government has not provided additional funds for NCLB compliance.
