District decides its one-to-one initiative too costly to pursue

The De Soto Explorer of De Soto, Kan., reports that the local school district has opted to abandon its plan for true one-to-one computing and instead pursue a less expensive type of “on-demand access” for its students. The new plan is to provide only the amount of computers needed in a classroom at any given time.
