JAWorldwide (Junior Achievement) announced today that Oraclehas awarded a $1 million Oracle Commitment Grant in support of the organization’sinnovative JA Titan, a web-based business competition for teens. The gift, whichwill be distributed over the next two years, will expand JA Titanbeyond the U.S. and Canadato 10 additional countries around the world. JA Titan is an innovative online highschool-level program that helps students act as virtual CEOs, exercisingcritical economic and management decisions using an interactive web-basedsimulation of companies competing in an imaginary global marketplace. Oracle’sgrant will allow JA Worldwide to translate JA Titan into 10 languages and expand to10 new countries. Participating countries will be determined in the comingmonths.
