NACOL issues new guidance for online learning

The North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL) has released a new resource titled "Using Online Learning for At-Risk Students and Credit Recovery," MarketWatch reports. The guide is the second report in the organization’s 2008 Promising Practices in Online Learning series, which highlights case studies and promising practices for K-12 online learning. "When students are struggling, online learning opens new pathways to success," said NACOL President Susan Patrick. "Online learning is expanding access and opportunities for schools to offer engaging alternative programs to build knowledge and skills—helping students become ready for graduation and prepare them for new opportunities in lifelong learning."
