The Northrop Grumman Foundation contributes to organizations defined as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. The priority is to provide assistance to national-level science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs spanning pre-college through collegiate levels. Grant requests are accepted throughout the year, but are reviewed late in the calendar year for funding the following year. Organizations may only submit a request for financial assistance one time in a calendar year.
