Tool Factory and Olympus have teamed to bring three separate grant opportunities to students and teachers.
The Tool Factory Podcasting grant program is asking teachers to submit lesson plans that explain how podcasting would be used in their curriculum. Three winners will receive a Tool Factory podcasting site license worth $1,000; two Olympus digital voice recorders; two microphones with noise cancellation; a school subscription to the Clip Art Station, Worksheet Station, and Web Page Station; and Tool Factory books "Simple Guide to Podcasting" and "Adventures in Podcasting." Awards are given twice a year.
