Cerebellum Corp. Receives Its 21st Telly Award for Excellence in Instructional Programming
‘Teaching Systems U.S. History’ video tutorial is recognized for its outstanding standard in excellence
San Francisco, CA—May 4, 2010—Cerebellum Corporation’s Teaching Systems: U.S. History Women’s Movement video was recently honored with a 2010 Telly Award, an awards program recognizing outstanding educational videos. This 2010 award marks the 21st Telly Award that Cerebellum, the producer and distributor of the Standard Deviants videos, has received from the Telly Awards program.
As part of the Teaching Systems product line, the U.S. History Women’s Movement video tutorial provides a comprehensive review of the women’s rights milestones within the United States. The timeline covers the years of the 1800s to the mid-1970s and covers the topics of the women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, N.Y., the establishment of the National Woman Suffrage Association, the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, giving women the right to vote, and much more. The video uses a young and diverse group of actors, on-screen graphics, and funny antics to engage the students and reinforce key learning points.
“Our production team worked diligently to create a superior and engaging product that speaks to students and teachers,” said Cerebellum President, James Rena. “The recognition from the Telly Awards endorses our mission and dedication to providing high quality content to enhance classroom learning.”
The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. With more than 13,000 total entries submitted this year, the Telly Awards is a highly sought-after award and a resounding achievement for Cerebellum.
The complete Teaching Systems product line combines entertaining video with digital workbooks to reinforce difficult topics in core curriculum subjects. Each program is based on state standards and provides a unique approach to classroom learning. Along with a video tutorial, each program includes lesson plans, quizzes, handouts and classroom activities.
The Teaching Systems U.S. History titles, Presidential Administrations ($49.98), Women’s Movement ($49.98), Economic Changes ($49.98) Civil Reforms ($49.98), and America at War ($49.98), are currently available for purchase on the Cerebellum website at http://www.sdteach.com under the ‘Teaching System U.S. History’ tab.
