Arcademic Skill Builders releases free educational video games

Arcademic Skill Builders, a free online resource that began as a side project at the University of Kansas’ School of Education, has released 40 web-based video games that help students practice basic math, language arts, vocabulary, and thinking skills while in the classroom or at home. The games not only incorporate multiplayer capabilities into educational gaming, but they also align with state standards, as well as the Common Core Standards, their makers say. To ensure students’ safety, the games prevent anyone who hasn’t been approved by a teacher from contacting students while they are playing the games online. http://www.arcademicskillbuilders.com
