Teachers need to pay special attention to tips 2 and 4. Many schools are in the process of implementing policies regarding the use of social media by teachers and staff because of the legal implications associated with such use (for schools and for the teachers thermselves). Even in the absence of a formal policy, it is very unlikely that a school would allow a teacher or staff member to use the school's logo on a site that is not mediated by school personnel. Teachers who use the school logo without permission may run afoul of trademark law.
