Press Release: Hitachi CP-X809 3LCD Projectors Pass with Flying Colors at Columbia University School of Social Work
Chula Vista, California, July 27, 2011 — In an effort to provide the most effective and reliable presentation systems for its students and professors, the Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City has outfitted three of its classrooms with Hitachi 3LCD projectors. The classrooms feature CP-X809 projectors—one classroom contains two projectors placed side by side, while the other two classrooms each have one projector. Monolith Systems of New York City sold and installed the Hitachi projectors.
According to Josephine Tatel, AV Manager for the Columbia University School of Social Work, the School required the “lightest and brightest” projectors available.
“The classrooms are large and have high ceilings so the light weight and high brightness of the CP-X809 were a good fit,” Ms. Tatel said. “They met ease of installation and maintenance features we were seeking.”
Lamp life was also a major point of consideration, Ms. Tatel added. “We had to replace the lamps in our previous projectors every year,” she said. “We didn’t want to have that problem again.”
Robert Fleischacker, president of Monolith Systems, recommends Hitachi projectors for a variety of projects, citing performance and service as major selling points.
“Hitachi offers products that perform extremely well and, on the rare occasions where there are issues with the equipment, they have a tremendous support system in place,” Mr. Fleischacker noted. “I install Hitachi projectors because I believe in the product.”
“The performance has been great so far,” Ms. Tatel concluded. “We have had no issues with maintenance and, since the first CP-X809 projectors were installed a year ago, I haven’t had to change a single lamp or filter.”
