PublicSchoolWORKS (PSW) Wins two “Cool Tools” Awards for Moving Education Forward into the 21st Century

PSW’s ‘EmployeeSafe Staff Training & Compliance Management’ and ‘Student Bullying Reporting Systems’ win awards from EdTech Digest

Cincinnati, OH – February 10, 2012 –PublicSchoolWORKS, a Cincinnati-based company that offers the one and only comprehensive, fully-automated risk management system available for schools, recently won two 2011 Cool Tools Awards from EdTech Digest for PSW’s EmployeeSafe Staff Training & Compliance Management System and the Student Bullying Reporting System.

“Thousands of companies are hard at work every day transforming education through technology. These people are the doers. They care deeply and passionately about moving education forward and they’re not wondering if education might reform itself-they’re smart, disrupting old models, shifting paradigms and making change happen now,” said Victor Rivero, editor-in-chief of EdTech Digest.

The EmployeeSafe Staff Training & Compliance Management System, part of the award-winning EmployeeSafe Suite, addresses the challenges faced by school administrators to ensure that all current and new staff receive timely and appropriate training. The system offers more than 380 online training courses that cover all the health, HR, safety, behavioral and other school-focused topics necessary for staff training and ensuring district compliance with safety laws and requirements.

The Student Bullying Reporting System, part of the award-winning StudentWatch Suite, provides 24/7 online and telephone reporting systems for students and parents to report bullying incidents and other concerns.

With a built-in communication tool, the system immediately notifies school administrators when an incident is reported. The system helps districts meet state mandates and provides tools for initiating, documenting and recording district and school responses to each reported concern. Students and parents may submit reports electronically, via voicemail or with live attendants. The live attendants will, when appropriate, initiate contact with various national crisis hotlines in order to help students deal with a personal emergency. In addition, each report is reviewed and if an urgent issue arises, a call tree is initiated to key administrators alerting them to take the appropriate action.

”At PublicSchoolWORKS, we are dedicated to providing quality services and technology to administrators, parents and students. With our EmployeeSafe and StudentWatch suites, we are able to ensure that districts remain up-to-date and in-line with all current legislation and training, and that parents and students have an effective means to report their concerns,” said Tom Strasburger, vice president of PublicSchoolWORKS.
