Press Release: Unique Augmentative Communication System Carrie Communication Cards
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Unique Augmentative Communication System Carrie Communication Cards
from Super Duper
Greenville, SC – February 28, 2012 – Super Duper Publications has released Carrie Communication Cards, a new, unique augmentative communication system (AAC) to help students with limited verbal skills communicate clearly and effectively. http://sdpubs.com/p73lg
Carrie differs from traditional AAC systems in five ways. (1) Each of the 740 Carrie Cards has a full-color SymbolStix® picture symbol and word on one side, and a grayscale SymbolStix® picture symbol with word on the other. (2) For long-lasting use, the cards are made of durable phthalate-free plastic and measure a hand-friendly 2” x 2 ¼”. (3) Every card has a hole in the top corner so it can fit on handy carry-around Ring Talker rings (included with the system). This feature allows for convenient grouping of any cards and lets the student easily carry the cards from place to place. (4) The cards are color-coded for quick identification and sorting. (5) The system comes in a sturdy professional briefcase. http://www.superduperinc.com/products/view.aspx?pid=CCC943&view=HowToVideo

Carrie Communication Cards also includes an instruction booklet with ideas for use, five Ring Talker rings, and a durable black briefcase for easy portability.
For use at home or in the classroom, the Carrie Communication Cards system easily adapts to meet the diverse needs of students and educators. The SymbolStix® Symbols are a widely recognized symbol-supported text system that clearly presents words, phrases, and ideas. Carrie is an excellent tool to help children meet basic augmentative communication needs, and develop their receptive and expressive vocabulary skills.
