More Accolades for Award-Winning Social Studies Products
WorldView Software Titles win four BESSIE Awards
The same award-winning content now available in an innovative and easy-to-use format
Hicksville, NY – April 12, 2012 – WorldView Software®, a producer of some of the most widely used middle/high school level computer-based social studies learning tools, is pleased to announce that four of its products (Basic American History: Pre-Columbian To Reconstruction, American History: Post-Civil War America to the Present, Civics, and U.S. Government) have received 2012 BESSIE Awards for outstanding content in educational programming.
WorldView products are self-contained curricula, complete with a modern, sleek design with features such as primary source documents, study questions, and audio that is built right into the lessons. The programs are highly adaptable to suit individual needs: as self-paced study guides for students, as resources for educators, and as classroom textbooks.
WorldView Software promotes academic excellence, and has been recognized dozens of times since its initial inception in 1990, winning a total of fifteen BESSIE and EDDIE Awards, including the 2012 BESSIES, for its Web-based titles. WorldView products have been approved as textbooks in Texas, Alabama, and Oregon, and adhere to the highest standards for content, accessibility, and interactivity.
CompuED Gazette writes of WorldView’s Government title: “U.S. Government: An Interactive Approach is a very comprehensive high school/post-secondary program…. It would enhance any classroom environment – traditional, advanced placement, community college, or home school – and provides tools to reinforce classroom lectures. The program could also lend itself to independent study or cooperative learning, allowing the teacher to design a learning experience that meets the needs of individuals or groups.”
WorldView’s ever expanding library of titles are available on a subscription basis, and can be purchased or previewed at our website: www.worldviewsoftware.com.
