The losers, again were the students.

The teaching focus still remains on superficial, student, short term, initial understanding, when the CPS mission and vision focuses on long term college readiness and empowering students to become self sufficient, productive members of society.

No where have I seen a request to be empowered with individual, advanced, long term, learning, transfer and application outcome skills that will empower students with advanced, long term, performance improvement outcomes.

The current pedagogy is no longer useful in a world that need long term deep learning, of critical must know skills.

Until we revise this, more money, longer days, accountability, et.al. will be superficial, band aid, windowdressing, fixes that don't address the real problem of short term teaching vs. long term, deep, learning, transfer and application
