Press Release: SNAP! LEARNING ANNOUNCES STATE-OF-THE-ART DIGITAL READING RESOURCES FOR iPAD ®
Educational publisher SNAP! Learning© has unveiled an innovative iPad® app, Mobl21, that powers the digital delivery of new interactive books and lessons designed for students in grades 2-6 to as a Response to Intervention (RTI). Evidence based research has shown that SNAP! lessons deliver improved outcomes for struggling readers. Designed by diverse team that includes talented writers, original illustrators, Reading Intervention Specialists, and Teachers with decades of classroom experience, our engaging educational reading books and materials incorporate everything necessary to make teaching and learning “a SNAP.”
SNAP! Learning’s ground-breaking content provides access to non-fiction digital books to help students master the new Common Core standards for reading and literacy via the free Mobl21 app and a purchased license for use of the content. Each title has been carefully designed to help students create background knowledge, practice fluency, learn vocabulary, read or listen, and participate interactively with comprehension assessments for more than 50 titles. The student can also toggle the content between English and Spanish.
Each grade level includes 10 titles and provides more than 30 hours of instructional time. All student practice and formal assessments built into to the interactive books is uploaded to the Mobl21 website for Teacher use and immediate differentiation for each student. The Teacher version comes with comprehensive fully scripted digital lessons plans with embedded Professional Development.
In addition to the mobile iPad resources, SNAP! Learning also offers the option to obtain instruction materials in traditional print or print with parallel Interactive Whiteboard lessons.
FEATURES OF THE SNAP! iPAD ®CONTENT:
A library of materials that shows students which reading selections are available; lessons they have already accessed, remaining lessons, completed assessments, bookmarking of pages; audio, which lets students listen to vocabulary words and reading passages, obtain definitions with the ability to highlight text as they read; and interactive flashcards for vocabulary practice. The Teacher edition includes a digital lesson plan and a companion website that provides complete data analysis of student progress. Powered by Mobl21, which is free app available now in the iTunes® App Store, the content can be purchased directly from SNAP! Learning.
