Three Educational Apps for Apple Devices from Super Duper
Greenville, SC – December 3, 2012 – Super Duper Publications has added three educational Fun Deck mobile apps for Apple devices — Listening for Absurdities, What Does Miss Bee See, and What Doesn’t Belong — to its growing number of titles available in the iTunes App Store.
Listening for Absurdities Fun Deck App, for ages 4 to 9 (Grades PreK-3), helps children practice listening, reasoning, and problem-solving skills as they learn to make sense of, explain, and correct nonsense prompts and pictures. The 54 hilariously illustrated picture scenes show absurd situations. Each scene has an accompanying audio prompt, with statements like, “The swimming pool is filled with chocolate milk.” and “Becky cut the paper with a fork.”
What Does Miss Bee See Fun Deck App, for ages 5 to 9 (Grades K-3), features the adorable “Miss Bee.” Children will enjoy following Miss Bee on her adventures through 56 colorfully illustrated scenes that require the students to use their naming, describing, inferencing, and visualizing skills to answer questions. Every scene has audio prompts for the text on the screen, including statements such as, “What does Miss Bee see at the zoo?” and “What does Miss Bee see in the closet?”
What Doesn’t Belong Fun Deck App, for ages 4 to 9 (Grades PreK-3), strengthens children’s categorizing, classifying, and organizational skills. The 54 illustrated scenes contain either three or four items and include audio prompts asking children to pick the item that does not belong in the scene. Examples include, “Elephant, lion, and toaster… What doesn’t belong?” and “Scissors, glue, crayons, and sailboat… What doesn’t belong?”
All three of these Fun Deck Apps allows parents and educators to select all of the pictures or just the ones they want the players to see, enter all players’ names, track correct and incorrect responses for up to five players at a time, and email and print results of each game.
Every one of Super Duper’s Fun Deck Apps has an original print version Fun Deck focusing on a specific area of learning, from grammar to reasoning to reading to social skills.
