New Corwin eLibraries Product to Launch at Learning Forward Conference
Los Angeles, CA (November 15, 2012) Corwin will be launching its new eLibraries product on Monday, December 3, 2012, during the Learning Forward Annual Conference in Boston. Corwin eLibraries are subject-specific collections of eBooks that provide online access to Corwin’s high-quality content by high-profile authors for professional development.
Each eLibrary topic collection features 10-12 eBook titles that meet the needs of an entire school district, with resources for teachers, administrators, and coaches. The collections are vetted through Corwin’s editorial team to ensure they provide districts and schools with a complete resource for designing professional development training and implementing school improvement initiatives in that topic area.
“Corwin eLibraries offers educators the convenience of having all their PD resources in one place,” said Mike Soules, president of Corwin. “Districts can design a customized PD plan to direct learning in key areas based on the titles that have been specially selected by our trusted editorial team. In addition, because Corwin eLibraries can be accessed by every staff member in a district, it represents an exceptional value compared to purchasing books individually.”
The eLibraries platform includes convenient and flexible features such as:
* Unlimited, simultaneous access
* Simple, easy-to-use navigation
* Advanced search tools, including full-text keyword searches across multiple eBook titles
* Ability to save searches
* Ability to create and save notes for easy reference
* Ability to print pages and notes
The first three eLibrary collections—Common Core, Bullying Prevention, and Cultural Proficiency—are now available. Five more eLibrary collections will be available in December for Assessment, Coaching/Mentoring, Differentiation, ELLs, and RTI.
The official launch party for Corwin eLibraries will be held at the Corwin booth (#400) in the main exhibit hall at 5:00 PM. The event will include free eLibrary demonstrations, champagne, and desserts.
eLibrary demos will also be available at the Corwin booth several times each day throughout the conference. Attendees who view a product will receive a raffle entry, with prizes including a free one-year subscription to an eLibrary and a free Apple iPad. The winners will be drawn during the eLibraries launch party. For more information about eLibraries, please visit http://www.corwin.com/learning/elibraries.html.
