Press Release: Funds For Learning Launches Website Redesign, E-rate Filing Window Survival Kit
Funds For Learning Launches Website Redesign, E-rate Filing Window Survival Kit
New FundsForLearning.com creates seamless integration with E-rate Manager; better-organized, more visually appealing interface offers easy-to-find E-rate news, updates and program guidance.
Edmond, Okla. (Feb. 1, 2013) – FundsForLearning.com, home of the award-winning E-rate Manager®, has a new look and feel. The redesigned website from Funds For Learning® offers users easy navigation and a searchable repository of valuable E-rate-related information.
Developed entirely in-house by the Funds For Learning Information Services department, the layout of the website includes new styling of the menus and toolbars, increasing the content availability and website functionality with E-rate Manager. The improved interface creates a seamless transition between FundsForLearning.com and E-rate Manager, giving users the ability to move from the reorganized E-rate help center at FundsForLearning.com, to the forms and applications found on E-rate Manager with no disruption.
Verlyne Jolley, compliance & regulatory director at Funds For Learning, stated that the demand for program guidance and application support greatly increases during the annual filing window. She went on to add that there’s “a need for E-rate information that is easily accessible and completely thorough.”
“By providing a smoother transition between the applicant help features and the E-rate forms found on E-rate Manager, we expect applicants will experience an increased efficiency and accuracy during what can be a stressful E-rate season,” said Jolley.
The redesign is more than aesthetic. It includes a revamped search feature that gives users the ability to find E-rate news, analysis and commentary dating back to the start of the E-rate program, as well as a host of other complimentary E-rate tools and guidance.
“There is a great deal of historical information dating back to the inception of the E-rate program,” said Nicholas Shipley, compliance analyst at Funds For Learning. “Users now have the ability to look back on an extensive amount of data and trends on the growth of the program. This repository is not only beneficial to the application process, but helps link the past and present with the future of E-rate.”
In celebration of the new website launch, Funds For Learning is providing free “E-rate Filing Window Survival Kits” to provide a calming presence to E-rate coordinators during the E-rate filing window. The complimentary kits provide stress-reducing items such as stress balls and chocolate candies.
“It is a fun way to celebrate the website launch and help reduce the stress E-rate applicants often experience during the filing window,” said Jolley. “We hope that all FundsForLearning.com school and library visitors are relieved of some stress.”
The E-rate Filing Window Survival Kits are free, but limited in quantity. E-rate stakeholders can sign up to receive their kits at the new www.FundsForLearning.com.
