New System to Help Mecklenburg County Public Schools Increase Efficiency, Monitor Inventory Needs

Austin, Texas – July 8, 2013 – Mecklenburg County Public Schools in Virginia has selected TIPWeb-IM software for Instructional Material Management from Hayes Software Systems, an industry leading K-12 inventory control software and services provider. Mecklenburg County Public Schools, which serves approximately 4,600 students, will now be able to track and report on instructional inventory usage across the eight school buildings and central office, allowing for a single, streamlined database solution.

The district selected TIPWeb-IM to improve the management and analysis of instructional material inventory throughout the district. With TIPWeb-IM, the district will benefit from a comprehensive web-based system that integrates student, teacher, and scheduling information from the student management system with the centralized system specialized for textbook inventory control. The software simplifies administrative functions and reporting while facilitating communication and responsiveness to student support needs.

Mecklenburg County Public Schools went through an evaluation process and chose TIPWeb-IM as the best solution for their needs. The district began its search for a new inventory control vendor this winter, and after an onsite demonstration, extensive follow-ups and contacting existing TIPWeb-IM customers in Virginia, Hayes Software Systems was the clear choice for the district. The time savings TIPWeb-IM offered the district through unique methods inventory impressed the superintendent and school level stakeholders. Mecklenburg County Public Schools will begin implementation of the TIPWeb-IM instructional material inventory software and facilitate staff training this summer in anticipation of a fully deployed system at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

“We’re excited to have yet another customer in the State of Virginia,” said Matt Winebright, Director of Sales for Hayes Software Systems. “Our Virginia software user base continues to expand as a community focused on best practices sharing are starting to talk about a regional users group in the fall.”

The TIPWeb-IM instructional material inventory software helps empower administrators with the information they need to make informed decisions, show accountability for instructional assets, and be effective, responsive educational leaders.
