Press Release: ASCD Launches New Educational Leadership Subscription Offering
Alexandria, VA (08/15/2013)—ASCD, the global leader in providing programs, products, and services that empower educators to support the success of each learner, now offers subscriptions to its flagship magazine, Educational Leadership (EL).
The subscription to EL is available either as a print and digital subscription for $35 (USD) or a digital-only subscription for $30 (USD) per year. Each year, EL releases nine issues (eight issues available in both print and digital format as well as one digital-only issue). Both subscription levels offer access to the EL app, the EL digital edition, and full access to new and archived EL issues. The subscription also includes complimentary professional development tools such as EL Study Guides to use as staff conversation starters for in-house professional development.
Research-based and practical, EL tackles groundbreaking instructional and curriculum topics. Recent themes have included “Feedback for Learning,” “Technology for Learning,” and “Faces of Poverty.” Upcoming themes for 2013–14 include “Resilience and Learning,” “Leveraging Teacher Leadership,” “Using Assessments Thoughtfully,” and “Tackling Informational Text.” Every issue of EL includes columns by prominent thought leaders, including Robert J. Marzano, Carol Ann Tomlinson, and Thomas R. Hoerr. The forthcoming September issue features two interviews of note on the topic of resilience and learning, one with poet and author Maya Angelou and the other with researcher Angela Duckworth, who has studied the connection between grit and high performance.
“Educational Leadership disseminates new ideas, offers a forum for many points of view, and promotes equity and excellence in education, benefits of the magazine that extend to educators at every corner of the globe,” said ASCD Publisher Richard Papale. “Offering Educational Leadership as a subscription worldwide supports ASCD’s commitment to educators everywhere.”
EL is recognized by leaders in the education industry as the authoritative source of information about teaching and learning, ideas and practices, and issues and trends affecting education. Visit www.ascd.org/ELsubscribe to subscribe today.
