Engrade provides complete district data analytics and integration platform, enabling educators to better understand individual student learning and prescribe appropriate instructional resources

Santa Monica, Calif. (Oct.15, 2013) – Engrade, the district-level platform that unifies data, curriculum and tools for teachers, students and parents, rolls out expanded capabilities for the new school year, now available to districts nationwide. New features include assessment authoring and delivery and student progress tracking across classroom, district and state measures, all accessible in one single-sign-on solution.

Completely customizable to each district’s unique needs, Engrade now includes five modules: Corebook, Teach, Improve, Assessments and Parent Connect. These modules work seamlessly together, and with other applications, to enable districts to manage daily classroom activities and grades, plan and evaluate curriculum and instruction, aggregate and analyze performance data to monitor student progress and improve school-home communications.

Numerous districts across the United States have implemented the Engrade platform, with urban and rural districts in California, Texas, New York, and the D.C. metropolitan area among the recent launches. With its open-API-based architecture, Engrade can unify all of the district’s disparate technology systems—from its SIS to mobile apps—into one secure, cloud-based platform to streamline teacher’s workflow and make the data and resources they need more readily available and easy to use.

Hauppauge School District in New York is one of the school systems rolling out Engrade this fall. “We are in an era of data driven instruction, but teachers have limited time during the instructional day – we need to do the best we can to support them with the time we have,” said Patricia Sullivan-Kriss, superintendent of Hauppauge School District in New York. “Engrade makes it easier to personalize instruction because it provides teachers with student performance data right alongside instructional resources. Engrade supports us in strengthening the teacher-student relationship as they have a better understanding of student needs.”

The latest module added to the platform, Engrade Assessments, enables educators to create, administer and store assessment items that support both PARCC and Smarter Balanced item types and align to Common Core and state curriculum standards. Additionally, Engrade added the capability to integrate data from all formative, benchmark and summative assessments to give educators and administrators a clearer and comprehensive understanding of student performance and progress. With all of a district’s standards-aligned resources accessible through the Engrade platform, teachers can evaluate performance data, then easily assign activities and design lessons based on students’ needs in a few clicks.
