CHICAGO — October 21, 2013 — Bretford Manufacturing, Inc.®, a U.S. manufacturer of technology-enabled furniture for learning and business environments, today launched a new campaign called #LearningIs that provides free resources about 21st century learning while giving educators a forum to share their experiences with one another. As part of this campaign, Bretford is giving educators the chance to win a set of EDU 2.0 mobile and powered 21st century furniture for their classrooms. The #LearningIs campaign integrates research, real-world experiences, ideas and information to help today’s educators make changes that positively impact the teaching environment and the way students learn.
“Twenty-first century skills and a proliferation of mobile devices are revolutionizing the way that students learn and interact,” explained Cindy Weinschreider, director of marketing communications for Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. “At the same time, Common Core learning standards are challenging teachers and schools to raise the quality of instruction for all students in every grade in order to achieve college and career readiness.” She continued, “Bretford can help — we have the right combination of products and resources to help educators evolve their learning spaces. Through this campaign, we are also giving educators a chance to win furniture they can incorporate into their 21st century learning environments.”
From Oct. 2013 through Jan. 2014, Bretford is sharing information about its key research findings, specifically focusing on the impact collaboration and technology have on learning environments.
Throughout the campaign, Bretford will prompt educators to use Twitter (hashtag #LearningIs), to describe how they have changed their learning environment. Participants will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a Bretford furniture product, like a PowerSync Tray™ for iPad or a social suite of furniture from the Bretford EDU 2.0 line that includes an EXPLORE® Teaming Table, five EXPLORE® Student Arm Chairs, a Store & Charge Cart and two MOTIV™ Freestanding Armed Chairs with Tablet and Power.
