Press Release: ASCD Conference on Educational Leadership Sells Out
Alexandria, VA (10/24/2013)—ASCD, the global community dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, announced today that the 2013 ASCD Conference on Educational Leadership has sold out. Scheduled for November 1–3, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nev., the conference promises to provide educators at all levels with best-in-class strategies to accelerate their ability to lead and to connect them with proven global education leaders.
“I am pleased to share the news of a sold-out conference because it speaks to the worldwide demand for ASCD’s high-quality professional development resources,” said Dr. Gene R. Carter, ASCD CEO and Executive Director. “Educators choose to spend their valuable professional development time and limited resources on attending ASCD’s conferences because they know they will receive an unparalleled professional development experience that will truly enable them to support the success of each student.”
The sold-out ASCD Conference on Educational Leadership includes more than 90 professional development sessions along with multiple networking events for attendees, including a welcome reception, breakfast discussions, author talks, and a keynote luncheon with ASCD author Robert J. Marzano. General sessions feature authors David Conley, Eric Jensen, and Salome Thomas-EL.
Even during the economic recession, ASCD has bucked trends and achieved growth in attendance at its Annual Conference and Exhibit Show, with nearly 11,000 educators attending the 2013 Annual Conference held this past March in Chicago, Ill.
“ASCD has proven to be the beacon among education conferences with its guarantee of satisfaction,” said Ron Miletta, assistant executive director for marketing and member services at ASCD. “In addition to the sold-out Conference on Educational Leadership, attendance for ASCD’s 2014 Annual Conference is selling fast.”
Educators are encouraged to register early for the 69th ASCD Annual Conference and Exhibit Show held in Los Angeles, Calif., March 15–17, 2014. The conference will showcase best-practice strategies that drive student achievement and will unlock ways to boost teacher and leadership effectiveness.
