Anaheim, California (November 21, 2013) – Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce TeamWork 601, the company’s newest pre-configured digital collaboration system designed for fast implementation with minimal setup in technology-enabled classrooms. The TeamWork 601 system supports up to four digital laptops or tablets, and two legacy analog computer-video and audio sources. The MPS 601 simplifies system design by digitizing analog signals so that they can be switched to the display, along with native HDMI signals, on a single HDMI cable. The TeamWork 601 system is complete and ready for installation, and includes four HDMI and two VGA “Show Me” cables, a switcher, a pre-configured system controller, a Cable Cubby enclosure, and other necessary system cables. TeamWork 601 works with virtually any new or existing classroom furniture system. In addition, TeamWork 601 is designed for plug and play connectivity with most flat panel displays, laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices.

“The prevalence of laptops and tablets in the classroom has placed even greater emphasis on the instructional benefits of a collaborative and fully immersive learning environment,” says Anthony Cortes, Director of Sales and Marketing, K-12 Classroom Systems for Extron. “TeamWork 601 is designed with flexibility and ease of use in mind, enabling students to quickly and effectively work together using any device, simply by plugging in their laptops or tablets and pressing a single button to share their projects.”

Extron TeamWork systems are designed for simple, intuitive operation with minimal training. Students simply connect their laptop or tablet to a TeamWork “Show Me” cable to start the system, and then press the “Share” button to show their content on the presentation display. When done, students simply disconnect and walk away. The TeamWork system automatically turns itself off, helping to reduce campus energy consumption. The TeamWork collaboration system is HDCP compliant and supports full resolution, full frame rate digital video up to 1080p/60 and analog computer-video up to 1920×1200. TeamWork also features durable and highly reliable, wired connectivity that prevents signal interference between collaboration systems so multiple systems can be used within the same room. Mounting hardware is optionally available to facilitate different collaboration table or work surface designs.
