In this webinar, you’ll hear about how Council Bluffs Community Schools in Iowa have gone 1:1 with Google in Education solutions. The educators will share more about their technology journey and the impact these changes have had for educators and students. The Council Bluffs Community Schools are proud to be the only Iowa District with an improved Graduation Rate for 7 consecutive years.

Council Bluffs Community Schools has successfully implemented a High School 1:1 Initiative with 4500 Google Chromebooks and is now piloting tablets in elementary schools. Find out the keys to success, things to consider before you begin your journey. CBCSD was one of the K-12 Districts in the nation to use Chromebooks with Google Apps.

Kristin is a member of the Google in Education team, helping schools to transform their classrooms with the help of open, affordable technology. Before starting with Google, she was focused on computer-based learning for professionals as a part of the marketing team at Enspire Learning, a small company that designs online simulations, courses, and games for corporate training.

David Fringer has been Chief Technology Officer for Council Bluffs Community Schools in Council Bluffs Iowa for a little over 6 years. Previously David worked in Student Information Management for Green Hills AEA and as a Middle School teacher in the Omaha Public Schools. David has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Significant IT accomplishments for the Council Bluffs Community School District under David’s leadership include: Significant Network Infrastructure Upgrades, implementation for Google Apps Education Edition for staff and students, establishment of a cycle for technology replacement, Implementation of a Learning Management System, participation in the Google Cr-48 (Chromebook) beta testing, Participation in Google’s EDU Play Store Beta, implementing a High School 1:1 Initiative with Google Chromebooks, A Middle School 1:1 Initiative with Google Chromebooks, and in the Fall of 2014 expansion of the the District’s 1:1 Initiative to elementary grades 3-5.
