Press Release: Who Will Win the Rally for Safer Schools?

Safe School Helpline® to sponsor anti-bullying event and concert

This Fall, one lucky school will win an exclusive performance by up and coming band, Sibling Rivalry, thanks to a contest hosted by message notification provider One Call Now.

The concert will take place at the “Rally for Safer Schools,” a program designed to address the issue of school bullying and raise awareness for the Safe School Helpline®. The event will include an interactive presentation by leading anti-bullying advocacy organization, Olweus, and an acoustic performance by Sibling Rivalry, whose track “No Medicine Can Heal” is the program’s anthem.

Sibling Rivalry is brother-sister duo Mitchell and Olivia Butaud, and they want to help spread the word about the Safe School Helpline®.

“We are proud to support the Safe School Helpline® and look forward to performing “No Medicine Can Heal” at the rally for the winning school. Being able to spread the message about anti-bullying and anti-violence in schools is very real to us as we are students ourselves. If this campaign helps just one student, it will have been a success in our eyes.”

From now until August 1, 2014 any school that purchases the Safe School Helpline® will be automatically entered to win the Rally for Safer Schools. Schools already using the Safe School Helpline® may enter by emailing rally@onecallnow.com and submitting a brief testimonial, sharing their experience with the Helpline. The winner will be announced on August 15, 2014, and the rally will take place at the winning school in October.

The Rally for Safer Schools is co-sponsored by One Call Now and education partners: SunGard K-12 Education, The Million T-Shirt March Against Bullying, and the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.

“One Call Now and our partners are committed to helping schools be a safe environment for learning,” says Brian Ferrar, chief marketing officer, One Call Now. “The rally presents a unique opportunity for any school looking to jump-start its anti-bullying program.”
