Professional Development Opportunities for Educators Now Offered Through Spectrum
ORLANDO, Fla. (March 3,2014)- Spectrum: A Learning Marketplace is offering educators a new opportunity to explore the use of technology in the classroom through blended learning and online teaching. Though both blended classrooms and online instruction have been around for quite some time, there are very few places offering educator instruction on how to implement these methods.
Spectrum now offers three professional development courses, created by Florida Virtual School®, to help customize learning for educators and districts.
Courses offered are:
Teaching in the Online Model
Teaching in a Blended Learning Model
Advanced Strategies for Online and Blended Learning
The courses are specifically geared towards teachers who are new to blended learning and online teaching, and focus on developing teachers’ skills by demonstrating specific strategies to enhance instruction. The courses are approximately 8 to 10 weeks long, and participants can work at their own pace.
