Leading Edge Certification Finalist in EdTech Digest Awards

WALNUT CREEK, CA (March 19, 2014) – Leading Edge Certification (LEC), a national provider of certification programs in education technology, has been named by EdTech Digest a finalist for the Cool Tool Awards in the Professional Development Solutions category. Additionally, EdTech Digest named Mike Lawrence a finalist in its EdTech Leadership Awards for his role as founder of Leading Edge Certification. The 2014 EdTech Digest Awards recognizes people in and around education for outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere. Award winners will be announced March 20.
As an Alliance of nonprofits, educational agencies and K-20 institutions, Leading Edge Certification is uniquely positioned to serve today’s forward-thinking educators. There are currently three certifications available from Leading Edge Certification: Online & Blended Teacher, Administrator and Digital Educator. A fourth certification, Leading Edge Certification for the Professional Learning Leader, will be available in July 2014.
The curriculum in each Leading Edge Certification is created by practitioners and leaders in education, with an eye on content and approaches that support the intersection between technology, pedagogy and student learning.
