(Scottsdale, AZ) rSmart, a leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for higher education, announced today that the Georgia Southern University Research & Service Foundation, Inc. has begun implementation of rSmart Cloud Express for Kuali Coeus to streamline the university’s sponsored program management.
Built on open source, community-developed Kuali Coeus software, Cloud Express will help Georgia Southern better manage their research enterprise by providing quick and accurate access to data in a single, automated system. The new solution will also improve pre-award, post-award, and compliance management, and bring quick value with its cloud-based, pre-configured deployment.
Cloud Express will help Georgia Southern electronically manage their research activities by:
– Streamlining pre- and post-award processes to increase efficiencies and lower costs
– Simplifying management, tracking, and reporting on research compliance
– Improving oversight with timely and reliable reporting
Georgia Southern is part of rSmart’s Pillar Partner Program, which brings together a select group of colleges and universities to provide insight and innovation for rSmart’s next generation of grant and research management solutions.
“With Cloud Express, we will be able to provide our University leadership with more timely and accurate data and reports regarding campus performance in grant and contract activity. This partnership also allows us to get the best solution in the industry at a very affordable price and will improve research and grant administration efficiencies,” said Charles Patterson, Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
“Given the complexity of grant and research management, institutions need a solution that manages all of the moving parts while maximizing initial and ongoing funding. We are delighted Georgia Southern has selected our turn-key, cloud-based approach, and look forward to gaining additional insight from their leadership in the future,” said Chris Coppola, rSmart CEO.
