Press Release: SmartyPants App offers $300K in software to 20 schools

SmartyPants App, Inc. was started by a former high school teacher, two college students and a data scientist. Our mission is to socialize learning for students and empower schools with data that can be used to increase student retention and graduation rates. We are now in the position to achieve one of our company’s charitable giving goals. We are offering $300,000 of software to a total of 10 high schools and 10 colleges.
SmartyPants (http://www.strikingly.com/smartypantsapp) is a mobile application that enables students to organize in-person study groups with just 3 taps on their mobile phone and get quick answers to their questions at any hour. In addition, we provide schools with sophisticated individual or demographic data that can be used to drive student achievement.
Our mobile application allows students to safely communicate from their mobile phones with classmates and instructors without sharing phone numbers, full names or Facebook information. Each class has a board in which students or instructors can post or answer questions. Additionally, students can use push notifications to send questions to their study buddies to get quick answers-very impactful when it comes to the late night cramming scenario. Lastly, we provide schools with crucial student data they can use to evaluate courses, assignments and drive student performance in hope of increasing student engagement and graduation rates.
Our founders organized around a goal of empowering American students. We hope that your school applies to have our mobile and web applications provided to your school completely free of cost. And, we ensure that your school receives the data they need to help drive student achievement. Please email marquett@SmartyPantsApp.org to request the SmartyPants collaboration app for your school.
