Press Release: New Integration Partnership Simplifies the Background Check and Applicant Tracking Processes for School Districts and Institutions

TalentEd Recruit & Hire and Safe & Sound Education partner to provide a seamless, end-to-end background screening and hiring combination.

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (Aug. 12, 2014) — School districts and educational institutions nationwide can combine comprehensive, cloud-based background check services with applicant tracking and hiring software thanks to a new integration partnership that connects TalentEd Recruit & Hire with Safe & Sound Education.

In recent weeks, Safe & Sound Education has been selected by a pair of prominent Texas Education Service Centers (ESCs) — Region 4 and Region 11 — to provide background check screening services to member districts, charter schools and institutions, assuring that all state-required procurements are met.

In the meantime, Safe & Sound Education chose Netchemia’s TalentEd Recruit & Hire — already used by more than 215 Texas districts and institutions (and 1,500-plus nationwide) to manage their applicant tracking and hiring processes online — as a preferred K-12 Applicant Tracking System (ATS) integration partner.

“As Safe & Sound Education does for background screening in schools, Netchemia’s TalentEd Suite streamlines the talent management process — allowing the focus to be on improving student achievement rather than dealing with paperwork,” said Chad Killian, CEO of JD Palatine LLC, the creator of Safe & Sound Education. “The Safe & Sound and TalentEd integration provides districts a comprehensive, one-source tool to manage all phases of the talent management process from recruitment to annual evaluations. We are very excited about our integration partnership with Netchemia.”

TalentEd, recognized as an SIIA CODiE Awards finalist, a District Administration Top 100 Product, an eSchool News Readers’ Choice Awards recipient, and a recipient of Tech & Learning’s Award of Excellence, serves more than 2,000 K-12 districts, schools and organizations of all sizes nationwide.

“At the heart of our mission is ensuring the success of our customers, and providing a seamless integration with Safe & Sound Education does just that by keeping perhaps the most important step of the hiring process simple,” said Deanna Ferrante, Vice President of Customer Success at Netchemia. “Because Safe & Sound Education is a trusted leader in background screening, it is important to provide district and school leaders with this integration capability.”
