Winter Park, Fla. — Oct. 23, 2014 — Charter Schools USA, one of the oldest, largest and fastest-growing education management companies in the United States, has partnered with Performance Matters™ to provide its schools with a next-generation assessment platform and integrated solutions for data-driven decision making. Charter Schools USA will implement the UNIFY assessment platform and the Performance Matters Assessment and Data Management System (ADMS) across all 70 of its schools in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan and North Carolina.

“Our initial goals were to find a standards-based test item bank and a solution that would allow us to develop common monthly assessments to determine how our students are mastering grade-level standards,” said Rachel Windler-Freitag, senior director of curriculum, instruction and innovation for Charter Schools USA. “We also needed a solution that would allow us to collect and analyze data from our network of schools across seven states. Performance Matters is the only solution that fit all our requirements.”

Charter Schools USA will use UNIFY to collaboratively develop, administer, and share assessments aligned to all standards, including the Common Core, state, and course-specific standards. It will use ADMS to analyze local, state, and historical assessment data from the Charter Schools USA network level to the state, school, classroom, and individual student levels.

“Performance Matters will allow us to easily gather performance data from multiple sources and conduct data analysis at multiple levels. It will give teachers the information they need to guide instruction in their classrooms. In addition, the reports will be useful for students and parents, who are also involved in data analysis and goal setting,” said Windler-Freitag. “Performance Matters is a wonderful partner. We could not be more pleased with the level of support we’ve received and we’re excited to move to the next phases of our implementation.”
