Edulastic, Key Data Systems give educators new classroom performance tools

Partnership gives educators access to assessment library

Edulastic, a next-generation online assessment platform for K-12 teachers and administrators, has formed a new partnership with Key Data Systems to make the Inspect item bank available to Edulastic District Enterprise users.

The alliance allows Edulastic to expand its customizable assessment platform, offering teachers an expansive library of science, math and language assessments designed to measure students’ mastery of critical college and career readiness skills and key concepts.

“Edulastic’s partnership with Key Data Systems provides our customers with access to over 37,000 professionally-developed items that meet college and career readiness standards, “says Aditya Agarkar, Edulastic Vice President of Product Development. “Educators are now better equipped to identify students who are having difficulty mastering particular concepts and the underlying causes.”

Edulastic’s online assessment platform allows K-12 teachers and district leaders to track students’ progress toward mastery of college and career readiness standards. By providing a free, easy-to-use tool that allows teachers to create and share fully customized assignments, Edulastic helps guide instruction because teachers can quickly discover areas of student struggle and course correct their teaching in real-time. Incorporating the Inspect® item bank will give school leaders even more choice in developing customized, technology-enhanced assessments.

“If we help an educator impact a student’s learning, then we have done our job,” says Dr. Shannon Wells, Key Data Systems’ CEO. “Consequently, we have created Inspect® to be more than an item bank. We work hard to create a complete suite of high-rigor, innovative items and ready-to-use assessments that include instructional guidance. This combination is what ultimately helps educators target and impact instruction to meet students’ needs.”

Edulastic recently announced the creation of Edulastic District Enterprise, an extension of Edulastic that provides valuable real-time insight into student progress and mastery of standards across schools and districts. With Edulastic District Enterprise, school and district administrators can easily create common assessments, share them with teachers, and track student progress – all without additional reporting and paperwork for teachers.
