Tripp Lite Continues Green Initiative With Energy-Efficient UPS Systems
SmartOnline™ Series Single-Phase UPS Systems Now with Economy Mode option
---------------------------------------------
Chicago, IL (October 19, 2009)— In an effort to further its green initiative, Tripp Lite has developed its latest line of SmartOnline Single-Phase UPS Systems to incorporate an Economy Mode function. Operating in Economy Mode, the SmartOnline Series, from 1000-16000VA, boasts an industry-leading efficiency rating of up to 97%, which in turn leads to less heat built up in data centers, lower energy consumption and dramatic savings in both cooling and energy costs.
"By incorporating the Economy Mode function across the entire range of our SmartOnline Series, Tripp Lite is offering the maximum level of power protection to our customers while minimizing their energy consumption and costs,” said David Slotten, Tripp Lite Director of Product Management. “As conditions allow it, these intelligent UPS systems throttle their power consumption by changing their operating modes automatically. Our customers demand reliable, quality products, but aren’t monolithic in their site conditions, and these SmartOnline systems take that into consideration.”
Key Features and Benefits:
-- Up to 97% efficiency rating (in Economy Mode) outperforms all competitor and legacy models
-- Provides energy efficiency and cost savings for enterprise data centers and smaller applications without sacrificing power protection
-- Hot-swappable modular models can be fully serviced, including complete replacement, without downtime impacts on mission-critical equipment
-- Continuous on-line, double-conversion technology provides the highest level of protection available as conditions demand
-- Single-phase rack/tower and tower models available with capacities from 1000VA to 16kVA
-- All SmartOnline Single-Phase UPS Systems are RoHS compliant
Tripp Lite has long been at the forefront of the green initiative, realizing early on that engineering energy-efficient products not only made sense from an environmental perspective, but from a business perspective, as well. By offering products that reduce corporate CO2 emissions and, consequently, operational costs, Tripp Lite provides its customers with a competitive edge that helps them succeed in today’s dynamic marketplace. The new SmartOnline models are poised to be the most effective yet, with their cumulative reduction of energy, expenditures and environmental impact.
