Can we develop our country please?

It is nice that we are helping developing conuntries again/still. Any hope of developing rural US? Outside of major metro areas, US is underdeveloped with respect to technology. I recognize that it is more marketable to use labels like "developing countries" than it is to say things like "I helped develop cornfield USA". Nonetheless, if we are truly about helping in general, lets not overlook rural America which is quickly falling behind many "developing countries".
