, a free service from, is a single site for accessing lesson plans correlated to curriculum standards for more than 40 U.S. states. Teachers at school districts that have not yet published their local curriculum standards documents on the web can search for lesson plans that correlate to their state standards on this new web site. “We are proud to partner with Microsoft on this exciting project,” said Bill Tudor, chief executive officer of “The site, coupled with the new search tools, can help teachers find higher-quality standards-correlated lesson plans on the internet in less time than most other search methodologies today.” In addition to using standards documents as the starting point for searches, teachers can initiate a search directly from the Microsoft Lesson Connection using the same GEM (Gateway to Educational Materials) subject and topic tags, along with their own keywords and grade levels. These tools provide teachers with a single, timesaving method for finding high-quality lesson plans that are mapped to local and state standards. The site is easy to use and allows educators to select the state they want information on by clicking on a map or by using a pull-down menu. Each state’s page contains links to information on standards for language arts, mathematics, and science.
