“Progress in Prevention: A Report on the National Study of Local Education Agency Activities Under the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSCA)” is a new report commissioned by the U.S. Department of Education to determine how school districts are planning, implementing, and evaluating drug and violence prevention activities funded by SDFSCA, in order to determine the program’s success.

The report contains information on the types of prevention activities that districts are implementing, the cost of such activities, the types of benchmarks that districts are using to measure outcomes, and the effectiveness of these various approaches.
