Command Central Inc., based in Medina, Ohio, is offering schools a “Safe@School” promotional discount for its Vexira Antivirus software and service. Schools can buy a one-year license, which normally sells for $50 per workstation, for just $1.79 per workstation with a minimum purchase of $100—and they can guarantee this same price for up to three years at the time of purchase.
Vexira Antivirus defends computers against more than 74,000 known viruses using virus scanning technology and active virus defenses. The software searches for known viruses and suspicious activity on local hard disks, network drives, floppy disks, eMail attachments, and internet downloads.
Schools can use Vexira Antivirus to monitor their computer workstations, servers, and eMail systems without any noticeable system degradation or hindrance, the company said. All Safe@School customers also receive instant notification of the newest viruses and other threats.
This promotional price is available through Oct. 31 or until the first 5,000 schools have ordered, whichever comes first.
