In the 50 years since famed molecular biologist Rosalind Franklin first immortalized the double helix structure of DNA in Photo 51, there have been countless cures and controversies attributed to the discovery. Now, in the golden anniversary of this revolutionary breakthrough, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has unveiled a new web resource called the "Secret of Photo 51." This web site is an educational companion to a NOVA television special about the double helix discovery. Students who visit the site will get a close-up look at the famous photograph and can observe the progression of DNA imagery over the years.
