Oracle Corp. offers a free online learning community for students ages 7-14, called Think.com, which provides students and teachers with their own web sites, spam-free eMail accounts, and discussion tools. Students and teachers can use the service to transfer pictures, documents, and audio or video clips, as well as share ideas, create class discussion, and conduct votes. Think.com is a closed community, so students are protected from spam, advertising, and other unwanted eMail. Think.com also includes a parent page to keep parents informed of classroom activities. Oracle, known generally as a business solutions provider, also offers educators the Oracle Internet Academy for high school students and sponsors the ThinkQuest academic competition and awards program.
