The eleventh annual Smithsonian’s Teachers Night, to be held Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at the National Air and Space Museum, celebrates the centennial of the Wright brothers’ historic flight at Kitty Hawk.

Teachers throughout the Washington, D.C., area are encouraged to participate. Attendees will receive free educational resources for their classrooms, watch an IMAX film and planetarium show, preview The Wright Brothers & the Invention of the Aerial Age exhibition, mingle with their colleagues, and meet museum educators.

Simultaneous Smithsonian Teachers’ Night celebrations will occur at the Challenger Space Center of Arizona in Peoria, Ariz., and the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson, Kan.
