The Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship invites elementary and secondary school mathematics and science teachers to spend 10 months providing their educational expertise in a Congressional Office or a federal agency. Agencies that have participated include: the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Education, National Institute of Standards and Technology, or the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. The Fellows provide their educational expertise, years of experience, and personal insights to these offices. During the Fellowship, Einstein Fellows receive a stipend of $5,250 per month. Travel and moving expenses are also provided.
