The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is inviting educators to visit the web site of the National Education Technology Plan and contribute their ideas. ED recently added features to the site that will allow visitors to participate in new ways and help shape the focus of the next national plan. By clicking on the new “Participate!” link, users can provide comments on nine different themes, including technology and teacher quality, special education, and leadership; upload files such as reports, articles, and presentations for ED officials and other site visitors to view; share their thoughts in a blog about the recently released “Retrospective on Twenty Years of Education Technology Policy” (a copy of which also is available on the site); obtain the latest ed-tech resources; and more. The comment section is open now through March 12.
