The Community Parent Resource Centers program provides $1 million to make sure parents of children with disabilities receive training and information to help improve results for their children. The centers should target low-income parents, parents of children who are English-language learners, and parents of children with disabilities, providing them with the training and information they need to understand and participate in programs, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, that can help their children. The overall goal is to help children with disabilities lead productive adult lives, as independently as possible. Applications should not request more than $100,000 per year.
