To improve the availability and quality of arts education nationwide, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) will award up to 50 matching grants ranging from $15,000 to $35,000 for innovative summer-school programs. Eligible summer-school arts programs should provide instruction in one or more arts disciplines; offer a comprehensive curriculum that actively engages students; and culminate in public performances, exhibitions, or other demonstrations of the participants’ achievements in the arts. Organizations interested in applying must submit a Statement of Interest by June 7. Then, the NEA will invite no more than 100 organizations to submit formal applications by July 19.
