The Veritas Software Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization established by the storage software company VERITAS Software Corp., provides regional financial grants of $40,000 to educational on a quarterly basis. In each quarter, the foundation makes grants to schools and non-profits in one of four regions: Minneapolis; San Francisco Bay area; Orlando; and Vienna, Va. Grant proposals for the proposals for the Orlando area are due July 31. Currently, the foundation focuses its grant giving on philosophy programs that benefit children’s lives. In addition to funding, the foundation also makes donations of Veritas’ Backup Exec software.
