New Mexico Gov. shows support for school technology


The Alamagordo Daily News reports on a visit by New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson to a middle school where teachers are integrating technology to enhance learning. Richardson visted the school’s distance learning area and spoke of his desire to see every New Mexico seventh-grader owning and operating a laptop computer. The New Mexico Laptop Initiative has already provided more than 700 students and 80 teachers with laptops.
