The Kansas City Star reports that hundreds of students at two high schools in Olathe, Kansas, have been given handheld computers for the new school year. This is the first time in the district’s history that every student at the Olathe North high school has received a handheld. Two other high schools in the district do not offer handhelds to individual students, but make them available for classroom use or lab work. (Note: This site requires registration.)
