An Associated Press story, carried on Earthlink.net, reports on the price a Florida high school football booster club is paying for failing to renew its domain name. The Fort Walton Beach High School Touchdown Club’s former domain was picked up by a company in Ukraine, which used it as a portal for pornographic sites. The club is trying to buy the name back, since many other sites currently link to it. The club had mistakenly thought the school had renewed and paid for the domain name.
